JCB 3DX vs 4DX — Parts & Compatibility Notes

High-level differences buyers should know when stocking hydraulics, axles, and engine peripherals across 3DX and 4DX fleets.

Key points

  • 4WD-specific driveline items
  • Shared filter and seal families
  • RFQ tips for mixed fleets

3DX and 4DX share many service items (filters, common hydraulic fittings, engine peripherals) but diverge on 4WD-specific driveline, certain axle, and brake components. Always quote serial range and axle type on your RFQ — “4DX” alone is not enough for a guaranteed match on hub or shaft parts.

Mixed fleets should maintain separate fast-moving SKUs per model family where interchange is not documented, and use cross-reference sheets from your workshop for ambiguous assemblies.
